| 1950's styled curved fridge over freezer, includes a right hand hinge. There have been reports that compressor can blow within a period of three years. So it maybe wise to take out extended warranty for around five years. |

If your considering this fridge freezer then make sure you take a long warrenty, we had no end of problems. The first major problem was after the two years warrenty period. The first small thing to break was the vegatable tray, they insert at the bottom of the fridge, and were made of flimsy plastic. But the horror was when the compressor gave up just after the warranty period of 2 years. After searching online for parts I have read of many people whose compressor has given up the ghost between 2-3 years. When the compressor goes it causes leakage in the fridge, and by this stage you have £1200 which you cannot repair. Smeg did agree to exchange our fridge for another at half price. We did this but took out a five year warrenty as well. I have no confidence in this product , and expect our 2nd one to
break anyday soon. And spoil all the food within. Looks fantastic,
