strong
handle, fast and holds alot of food
quite
alot of money for a glorified hob top chip pan
the filter is permanent and I think it's built into the lid and
is just washed along with the rest of it. but i have never checked
this to be 100% cert, it's well hidden that's for sure. next to
nothing to criticise about it.

Room
to cook lots of chips.
Zero.
With a large family our chip pan gets lots of use, the problem
was our chip pan never had enough capacity to cook chips for four
kids and two adults. Sick of having to cook two batches of chip
I discussed it with my husband and we decided to buy a deep fat
fryer for the first time. We had a good look round and weighed up
the pros and cons of many machines. The first consideration was
obviously size, those with the largest capacity were either a cylinder
white plastic design or stainless steel box shaped design you would
find in a takeaway establishment. I preferred the looks of the stainless
steel design, Tefal did a range of these and with an oil capacity
of four litres and food capacity of over one kg it fit our needs.
We didn't want to pay over sixty pounds so it does lack some safety
features and contains no coolwall. Apart from this the filter works
well, the handle is sturdy, the viewing window useful and has reliably
cooked our chips and occasionally fish for the last few months.
It's cut down my cooking time by twenty minutes or more, so it was
definitely worth the expense.
