The bowl, lid and basket can be easily placed in the dishwasher.
The capacity is on the low side, the viewing window is too small as well.

Makes good chips and fish, looks professional, easy to clean and cuts out if the machine is in danger of over heating.

Most of the parts can be simply placed in a dishwasher.
If your cooking for four or five the size limits the amount of chips that it's capable to make. It's simply not capable of cooks chips, for a family all at once.

I am reasonably satisfied with the product, next time I will look for a fryer with more space.

Straight forward and simple to use.
Seems to take a longtime to reach the required temperature.

Solidly made, confident of the safety and willing to leave it alone for a few minutes. Due to the depth and design of the basket oil does not splash out in alarming degrees. Our previous fryer was a nightmare for splashing hot oil all over our worktop, leaving a mess which needed cleaning up alongside the safety issue of small children being near. At forty quid I'd say it's worth the money I paid for the machine. What I do not like is the time it takes to heat up, the controls are small, complicated and unclear. The controls are placed behind the basket so I do not like altering them when the machine is on. Overall I would rate this fryer as average.

Can take it apart to wash everything
Like all fryers the viewing window gets steamed up, so you can't see anything anyway! Also, although capacity says 1kg of food, when you read the instructions, it recommends you only use 500g as this will give the best result but that isn't only on this fryer, they all seem to say this, so try to read the instructions before you buy.

Said in the instruction booklet that it take 20 minutes to heat up but it didn't even take 7 minutes and it said french fries take 8-10 minutes, our took just over 5 minutes, so check when you first use it and don't rely on soley what the booklet says, otherwise you could end up with burnt chips.

I did like the fact that this has a filter in the lid, as many in this style don't and you have to leave the lid off whilst cooking. Also, many in this style don't have the rise and fall basket facility but this one has and it\'s good that you can do this before taking the lid off.

I am very pleased with it at the moment, although it is quite a large unit and could do with frying a few more chips at once for a family of 4, although saying that 1/2 a basket of french fries fed 4 of us, albeit smaller portions.

For the £40 we paid, I don't think you could get much better than this one and it\'s a good 'brand'.
