Technical Details: 58 litres, 4 Zone Ceramic Hob, Light
in Oven
Features: Energy Rating: B, Height 900 - Width 500 - Depth
600 mm
Pros: Ceramic hob can stain over time if not well maintained,
but is easy to clean if you keep of top of spills. The controls
are well laid out, few in number, and will not take too long to
get the hang of. The hobs also have the usual lighting safety feature
of declaring which are still on, which still warm and those off.
Some cookers include hobs which are not so clear, and can lead to
burns accidents or worse. Both ovens have a glass door for viewing
and an interior light in the bottom oven to make it even easier
to view your meal.
Cons: Slim design is ideal for small spaces, but also means
making a Sunday dinner for five is out of the window. In dark kitchens
the numbers on the controls can be difficult to see, over time as
the wear and text worn the problem is exasperated. We have read
varying reports of the construction quality, of course isolated
faulty units are always the case, but reports of hob rings being
out of line are worrisome. And that markings the ceramic hob surface
is far too easy. Due to size constraints the grill/top oven only
has one shelf level, whereas in standard cookers you can have between
two and three different levels to grill at variant speeds.
Verdict: A standard oven with little to recommend it, the
energy rating of B indicates this is a run of the mill appliance.
Will most likely provide years of service, although we have read
reports that the overall build quality is less than satisfactory.
