Technical Details: 800 Watts, acrylic lined cavity, twenty
litre interior capacity, automatic eight reheat and cook, 24.5cm
glass turntable.
Features: Cook book with ideas for a brand new user what
there microwave is capable of, child lock to protect children from
trapping their fingers when opening and closing the door.
Pros: The auto weight and cook procedure is a time saver, and
cuts back on an overly complicated control system. The cookery books
is a useful added extra, and may help users new to microwaves learn
the full benefits of their new appliance. The book Panasonic included
is informative, and describes in depth how steam, and bake a variety
of foods. When comparing this machine to its competitors, the solid
build and manufacture will stand out. That said, the quality of the
controls and buttons does not feel as solid and positive as their
premium models. The interior materials are easy to clean, and the
glass turntableis easily removed for cleaning.
Cons: The controls will take plenty of time to grow accustomedwith.
Like with all S/Steel exterior finishes it's prone to smear due
to finger marks. If not set correctly, the rotation of the glass
turntable can jerk around, hopefully this will not become a persistentproblem
later down the road. Some of the settings are lost once you remove
all power to the device.
Verdict: Compact device, with an attractive exterior. With
800 watts available it's performance is middling. It's let down
by an overly complicated electronic touch pad operation - the auto
weight settings does cut back on this, but most users will need
to refer back to the manual. A cookery book is a welcome addition,
especially for people with little or no experience using a microwave,
and little knowledge of what it can be put to use for.
