The EOS 350D Digital is a compact, lightweight and intuitive camera
which delivers results that will captivate. Priced around £550
it's not cheap, but can deliver results equaling that of semi professional
high end cameras. The image quality has been improved thanks to
a new CMOS sensor and Canon's latest DIGIC image processing. We
also found that the ISO performance was impressive, with hardly
any shutter lag and for impulsive pictures the power was nearly
instant. Another plus with the 350D is the huge variety of available
lens and flash equipment. Some downsides we found were the plastic
finish of the case made it feel cheap. The size and design of the
camera made it feel ergonomically cramp, and the tiny viewfinder
was one result of this cramped design. Many photo experts will claim
that most professionals use the Nikon D70. This camera may have
a nicer finish and feel, but does suffer from a lower resolution
count than the 350D.
