Weighing only 160g the DSC-T9 is a very small camera, with simple and stylish looks. It's so compact I doubt you will hardly realize your carrying it in a pocket. Women will also most likely find it fits perfectly into a small handbag. Once setup it's also fairly easy to operate, and it's capable to have the DSC-T9 setup to your ideal specification. One of the nice features is that you can reduce the picture quality from 6MB - 1MB, this allows you to take and store more photos. The quality of the photos is quite good, but for a 6MB camera maybe a little disappointing. The clarity and overall quality of the images are not as good as some 6MB cameras I've used. The shutter speed is also another issue, I found it slow compared to modern standards. The picture quality and shutter speed I would assume is a compromise due to the size of the camera. The price at around £245.00 is also fairly hefty. With the DSC-T9 it appears you are paying for the size and brand. What the casual buyers will not realize it that Sony are not a respected camera brand (unlike with they tv's and dvd players). They are not especially well reviewed by camera magazines. They may be a little bigger but the Ricoh R3 is a much more impressive preposition.
