Came free when I bought my desktop PC online at the HP shop site, said that it normally retails around £99. I am not really a camera person but I have taken a few snaps with it when selling dvd's and PC games on eBay. The quality seems pretty good, clear enough to give a good evaluation of the condition of what I am selling. And some of my buyers have also remarked on the clearness of the picture when leaving me a quality rating.

I did need to light the room well when taking any picture, because in dark conditions the flash/zoom produces a hopelessly , blurred shot. I've also tested the movie feature which can shoot small videos with audio to support it.

I am still using the batteries it came with so the battery life is good, has some useful extra features like red-eye removal, and a clear photo view for testing a taken picture or video playback.

I have no idea if it value for money because it's the only digital camera I have owned. But as a free gift I am happy with it.
