This new offering from Acer is from the family of Aspire 3000
series of notebooks. This series is based on the Mobile AMD Sempron
processors. The Sempron CPU is an entry level processor and includes
the PowerNow! Technology. Priced around £500 the 3003WLMi
is ideal for basic office uses like sending email, connecting to
the Internet and word processing etc. Home users and business professionals
will both find great mobile performance in an easy to conceal unit.
The Aspire 3000 series of notebooks must be the most elegant on
the market, and feature a slim line design. If you are looking to
play the latest games then this machine isn't for you. It features
a 128MB shared graphics card, but it will struggle to play the likes
of Quake 4, let alone any games released in the future. It is however
an elegant low cost mobile notebook that includes plenty of ram,
a good processor and a built-in wireless 802.11g modem for easy
Internet access.
