Since the late 90's I've been building, upgrading and moding my
own PC's. Why have I picked AMD processors everytime?, they are
easier to mod, they are faster and cheaper for a equally priced
Intel model. This all comes with no drawbacks, why do most manufactured
PC's come with Intel?, well AMD and the majority of the computer
enthusiasts have been at a loss to see the logic of it. AMD has
only recently went to court suggesting Intel bribe or use shady
practices to garner business. Why else would competitive businesses
use an inferior and more expensive product. Intel seem to have a
monopoly in the processor world when it comes to manufacturers like
Dell and HP. My latest AMD processor 'X2 3800+' was a third of the
price of the equivalent Intel Pentium processor. Ask any techie
with knowledge of clock speed etc etal blah an AMD CPU will be faster
than an Intel CPU of the same equivalent clock speed. This has been
the case for at least six years at a guess. And critically most
people find AMD more stable and reliable, most of you will think
Intel use better materials or build quality or something, not so.
This is especially the case in the overclocking world, this is where
techies fiddle with their processor to make it go faster. This results
in the processor heating up and the chance of it melting out increase,
and the manufacturer warranty is invalidated. Overclockers prefer
AMD because they are better made, more stable and easier to overclock.
Basically everything is in favor of an AMD processor, you really
would be a fool to buy a Pentium.

Processor AMD kicks Intel in the Nuts when it comes to price, speed
and reliability.
None
, would prefere a faster model but what can you do.
