This is a slim downed version of the 7800 GTX card and is currently retailing for around £250, which is £100 less than the GTX card. Both these cards can be bought in pairs to produce an SLI setup, possibly creating the most powerful gaming setup for the PC currently. Using this card on Call of Duty 2 (just about the most hardware intensive game currently) I found just one card easily played it at the highest settings. When we setup an SLI with two 7800 GT's we suffered slowdown problems, and with a standard 17 inch screen saw no graphical improvement. What you get with any 7800 GPU is ultra-realistic effects, a host of unmatched features provided by the forceware software, and rock-solid stability. Currently you will find no better card for £250 which will play the latest games the way intended by the designers. There are plenty of manufacturers selling this card, I tried the Club 3D card and was frankly blown away by it. They have good articles here about all the latest cards by the way.
