The LG Flatron L1715S is a an attractive 17-inch TFT LCD monitor which is priced to be ideal for a home office, average computer user or for a small business. It offers a maximum screen resolution of 1280 x 1024 and features LG's flicker-free technology with a refresh rate of up to 75Hz. It's plug-and-play compatible, and with an auto setup function it means the L1715S is exceptionally easy to install and use. As to be expected the monitor comes with a power cable and monitor cable, connecting both of them is simple enough and means connecting them vertically into the back of the monitor. Like most modern monitors it includes the function to optimise the levels of brightness, contrast, and image size. It also means the VESA standard for being wall mount capable (make sure the back of the monitor is at least 10cm away from any wall to allow ventilation). The other standards it also meets is the EPA Energy Star energy efficiency standard, and the TCO'99 low-emissions standard. With a quick 16ms response time the picture is crisp and colours vibrant. Currently priced under £160 you can't go wrong.

I have had the lg l1715s for a year now and in all that time it has given sterling service. The picture is crisp and clean and the colours are bright and pleasant. For the money it would have to be a very good monitor to outperform this one.
