Designed to be ultra-portable, and weighing only 1.6kg it's designed
for people on the move. The most mobile of Toshiba laptops (alongside
the R100 and the newly released A200), it's perfect for business
users and students, with a stylish form and function. Obviously
the processor, memory and hard disk are fairly minimal compared
to larger laptops, but with the Portege M300 you are paying for
it's light weight and ultra-portable design. The Intel Pentium M
753 processor running at 1.2GHz clock-speed, is ideal for thin laptops
due to it's ultra low voltage (ULV) usage level. Depending on the
model the M300 can come with 512MB of memory, and a 60GB hard drive.
This will keep the system ticking over neatly compared to the 256MB
version. Networking shouldn't be a problem with a 802.11g Wi-Fi
and Ethernet adapter in place. You'll have no chance of playing
the latest 3D games, but the M300 has a robust chassis for mobile
workers.
