I frequently use my laptop daily for work, and it has to travel
with me into plenty of harsh environments, but for over a year and
a couple of months I love it. It's never gone wrong on me in any
major fashion or gone broken or anything frightening when I have
desperately needed it too work. My only gripe has to be the battery
life, it is far too short for my liking and needs, and will only
last a little over 3 hours in total. I'm a total computer illiterate,
but someone who has to relay on a computer for work, I have little
or no extensive computer knowledge but I can still handle the simplicity
of the of my Sat pro M50. It comes in a rather stylish ocean blue
colour, satisfies most of my demands like text writing, surfing
the Internet, and other simpler tasks. Overall a great little work
horse except for the battery life.

Targeted at the low budget end of the market the Satellite Pro
M50 offers good functionality at an affordable price. The whole
range of Toshiba's Satellite Pro series have been built to deliver
a good specification together with value-for-money. The Pro M50
can be found as low as £450, meaning the price and specs are
equal to those of any budget laptop. The difference is that your
buying into the Toshiba brand, which are one of the most popular
and respected manufacturer's of laptops. So how does it perform,
like with many laptops after a few hour sitting on your lap the
heat the Pro M50 is quite intense. The battery also did not seem
to last more than an hour on full charge, this was improved by adjusting
to the setting to low battery use. The only bad point is that the
screen goes dim. On a better note the overall speed of this machine
was excellent, it managed anything you put it through at it. I didn't
attempt any fancy functions like modern games on it, just using
MS Office and browsing the web. In closing this is a practical system
for those who do not need a laptop a whole heap of power. I am sure
the average user will be able to perform almost any task with it.
