Strengths - Design and Performance.
Weaknesses - Expensive, only 1 DVI input.
Like with most Apple monitors the design of the M9177LLA is fantastic
and would do any living room justice. Apple have sculpted the case
with anodized aluminum, Apple believe this helps minimise interference
with color on screen, and provides a neutral point for viewing your
work. Another create design feature is the use of a single cable
for the power, DVI, USB and firewire. The display is also equal
to the design, and also features a FireWire 400 hub and a USB 2.0
hub, both with two ports. If your upgrading from a CFT monitor you
will immediately notice deeper and richer colour's and a great contrast
ratio. At over £500 the monitor isn't cheap, so it may only
appeal to graphic designer's who generally use Mac's and die hard
Apple fans. On release people were paying at least $1000 in the
US for this monitor. Even with this price tag I have read nothing
but great reviews for this monitor, with hardly any owners disappointed
at paying such a high sum of money. If money is no concern then
you can't go wrong with the M9177LLA.
