Technical Details: Radeon HD 2600 XT GPU, 512mb GDDR-4 memory,
PCI Express x16, 3840x2400 max res, 128-bit memory bandwidth.
Features: DirectX 10, S-Video output, vivo output, DVI x2
outputs, Heat-Pipe Cooling Solution - no fan.
Pros: The heat pipe cooling system aims to eradicate the
noise created by fans, and it largely does an excellent job. Can
be found for £10-20 less than 8600 GT cards, it's direct rival.
The MSI uses three three heat pipes, this is one more than competitive
rivals and makes a difference to the core temperature. It's also
compatible with CrossFire cards, a cable less audio pass through
also makes it simpler to connect your video card up to a sound card
and TV.
Cons: Your computer case will need enough ventilation to
allow the hot air produced from the heat pipes to escape. The cooler
system is large in dimension, and may not fit into many super slim
cases. If you own a super slim case it would be wise to do your
calculations before buying.
Verdict: Super silent performance is achieved via it's huge
copper cooler, gaming performance is moderate-good.
