Ideal for thin laptops which want to play the latest games such as Half Life 2. Whereas the X800 is usually included in high end desktop replacement laptops, the X700 due to it's low power consumption is aimed directly at thin notebooks. The architecture of the X700 is based on the on the desktop X800 PCI-Express graphics architecture and includes 64 mb and 128 mb models. It has has 8 pixel-pipelines and 6 vertex units and supports SMOOTHVISON HD so it will produce 6X Multi-Sample AA with gamma correction. Alongside this you can expect up to 16X Anisotropic Filtering. The memory bus has a width of 128-bits and uses GDDR3 memory modules. The card is currently included in laptops such as the Acer TravelMate 8100, Gateway M680S and M680X, Sager NP 4880 series and Targa Companion 826 3000+ and Traveller 826 3000+ . I used it to play Entropia Universe on my laptop, it couldnt handle this resource hogging mmpog online game.
