The 32PF5520 is the latest Philips LCD 32 inch that now supports HDTV sound and with 2 speakers can produce a combined output of around 30 Watts. Alongside a digital sound processor you can alter alter the atmosphere of the sound reproduction with no loss of sound quality. Other top features of this model are the eight day electronic program guide to selecting all your favourite films and tv shows. And with a digital tuner included you can receive all the free digital channels in the UK such as BBC Three, BBC Four and Sky Sports News. And with a PCMCIA slot you can easily add a pay channel module for the addition of digital pay channels such as Sky Sports and Movies. This model produces good pictures (maybe not as good as it's Toshiba rival) by use of the latest 'Digital Crystal Clear' technology. Overall a competitive machine from Philips which has great build quality alongside good picture, sound and connectivity ratings.

Great Picture and usability
No HD connector, just VGA

Fantastic TV all round but now maybe out of date for connections as have invested in an Xbox 360 which although TV sold as HD ready no dedicated HD connecot fitted, just VGA which produces fantastic HD picture quality.
TV has on its source button a HD section but no connector why?

So, 100% for picture functionality but connectivity poor
