Silver
and black case looks the bizz.
Price
has dropped alarmingly over the past months, wish I had waited.
Can overpower a room.
Purchased to replace our old 32 inch Sony crt. Living in a semi
the living room is low on width, therefore buying a screen over
say 40-42 inches was not an option. To begin with even this screen
seemed far too large for our space. Over time you do grow accustomed
to it and begin to fall in love. The picture quality when playing
DVD's or Xbox games is just amazing. I do not have Sky HD yet but
normal Sky transmissions look more than satisfactory. The Xbox 360
comes with a HD options so it looks awesome when set at 1080i resolution.
The inbuilt sound is around about adequate, but you really need
a home cinema system for the best results and experience.

With
a good signal the picture quality is amazing, brings a lump to your
throat.
You
will not be satisfied with the sound, it does not match the quality
of the picture. A surround sound system is a must.
I paid around £1199 for this set last year - you can now
pay nearly half that. My friend paid £3000 two years for a
plasma set of the same/similar specifications. Now is the time to
buy.

A
big screen for your money and from a reputable and trusted brand.
I paid below £700 btw.
No
issues.
I had to return a Toshiba plasma two times because firstly the
picture when green/brown, then after being repaired it turned itself
off every 2 mins and finally forever. The retailer finally agreed
to my demands of a new set from a different manufacturer and returned
the difference in pounds. My advice is go with Philips, having to
return a set two times from an online company is a real pain in
the ass. Its sure as hell a lot of cardboard.
