5
star design, build quality and operation.
Lacks
a warning sound for road repairs, traffic jams, and hold-ups.

Contains
all the essential features one needs from a gps device. The instruction
booklet is informative, easy to read and well written.
The
extra leads and cables are pricey, a local retailer wanted £25
for just one cable which is a total rip-off.
Was a toss up between this and a Tom Tom. After an in-store demonstration
I found the Garmin easier to master most of the functions. It was
the more expensive model out of the two, but there is no only reason
for not rewarding this model a 5 star rating

Manual
is clear, Garmin have done such a good job with the unit it's pretty
intuitive anyway to just operate out of the box.
Touch
screen can have a mind of its own. Those with large fingers and
little dexterity may become frustrated.
I almost bought the more expensive version but was advised by
a helpful shop assistant there was no need unless I required full
Europe mapping. Overall I am totally delighted with my purchase,
I've owned it for 3 weeks now and it does the job in hand flawlessly.
I was a complete newbie when it came to GPS systems, I had never
used one before. I couldn't do without it now, it's got me to my
destination without issue everytime on time, no hiccups. It's a
delight to see the Nuvi go to work when it's diverted by roadworks,
or traffic jams, it's little brain starts whirling and recalculates
within seconds all the extra yards and minutes my journey will take.
It takes all the stress out of traveling to unknown addresses.
