The
sound is clear and free is distortion.
The
illuminated light is far too bright, even when you lower the dim
level.
In a darkened room the LCD backlight works like a flood light and
stops all chance of a good nights sleep. The only option is to cover
the backlight with a sock, but this defeats the whole purpose of
the device.

Sounds
and looks good, small enough to fit easily on a bedside cabinet.
Backlight
too bright.
I bought the 'Chronos' radio as a treat for early morning wake
up calls. I wanted to try out DAB for the first time, and with four
independent alarms you can alter the wake up time for the weekends
and weekdays. Like the previous reviewer my main complaint surrounds
the backlight being far too bright, the dimmer settings just do
not work.

Product is ruined by the insufficient dim setting and the lowest
volume level being too loud for early mornings.

Sound
quality can only be described as moderate, brightness of LCD.
Sound quality is average but is a cut above our previous analogue
radio. Getting a good nights sleep was next to impossible due to
the backlight, our make shift solution was to cover the LCD with
coloured see through tape. The only problem with this is that the
display is much more difficult to read. Overall a flawed product
you stick clear of.
