This model is the entry level machine from Sony. It does however include their sharp 2.5" LCD screen, and the award winning Carl Zeiss lens. Even though this machine is priced around £210 you can expect pin-sharp quality from the Carl Zeiss Vario-Tessar lens, we found that even if you are zooming in from a long distance this sizable lens still produces a nice bright picture. This model has certainly been designed with ease of use in mind, it contains the minimal amount of buttons needed and the LCD monitor has a simple Start and Stop Record button to start filming with. Even a complete novice to camcorders will have this model up and running in minutes. The size and weight is perfect for easy shooting on any occasion, and it will easily fit in a child's hand. Along with a great infra red night time mode this camera has everything an entry level camcorder needs.
