Under thirty quid, ideal if your after forty plus freeview channels like bbc3 and 4 and e4. Many programmes are now being released on these channels, not just re-runs of only fools. We initially bought it because my son is a big fan of the sopranos and the new series was released on e4 months before it was being shown on c4. The programme guide is handy as well, no need for radio times or a lookup in your daily paper of whats on. Teletext was always too slow for this.

Simple to use programming selection, makes it much easier to select your chosen program.
Have not worked out how to connect an external device to record from the box transmission, ie my vcr.

Good box but now without technical issues, cannot connect any cable receiver so I can record other channels, not an alternative to Sky +.

Ability to have Freeview with an extremely low initial cost, reliable machine and brand.
Jumpy sometimes when moving from the menu to channel.

Also like the looks, it's not an eye sore, easy menus.
