Compact size, easy to set up, scart lead was included, can connect to my dvd player for a dolby signal with the co-axial connection.
Shame there isn't a hard wired power point - plug, no power on button for the remote.

The menu system is a real drag ~ I have lost all the channel data after a long session of continuous play.

Attractive box and the installation was quick.
The menu system is a disappointment - I preferred our previous SKY system.

I haven't suffered from any technical issues with my set top box, the downsides are all design related and could easily be solved by Philips. The most frustrating aspect must be the inability to view what's on other channels when watching one channel. With a SKY box you can watch BBC1 and use the remote's 'up' arrow button to view what's on every other channel while continuing to watch BBC1. This simply isn't possible with the DTR2520/05, you are forced to switch into the main menu system.

The remote is likewise not upto scratch when compared to SKY's unique dark blue oval one. I also have to memorise all my frequently used buttons and they are far too small for my big stubby fingers.

I do love the looks of the box - it's compact, neat, has clean lines and is small. It handily fits into most nooks and crannies. The picture reception is superb and it's easy to signup for subscriptions to extra channels.

modern appearance and excellent picture produced from transmitter
complicated remote control

has lived up to my expectation - only minor glitches subtract from a great little buy
