For those looking for a dvd players that supports HDTV then the DVD-HD950 is ideal. It's been designed with a Hi-Def Conversion, and is an ideal solution for anyone who has upgraded to HDTV television set. Of course they will now want to get the most out of their DVD collection, and with a HDMI (High-Definition Multimedia Interface) the DVD-HD950 addresses both pure digital audio and video performance. The strengths we found with this player was the ability to play many dvd / cd formats. And the HDMI output for compatible TV's / monitor's is it's main strength. The sleak lightweight look of this player is also attractively designed. For the price the picture quality is decent, with a Hd up converting capability of 720P. For those who have purchased the latest television sets such as a Sharp Aquos they will probably find their old dvd player useless with their new TV. Those contemplating changing their dvd player as well will not be disappointed with this upgrade. Replacing the factory HDMI cable will also make a significant difference.
