Smashing
dvd player with loads of features, this kit is a snip for a pittance.
I
have not come across any. Shame PAL/NTSC playback is only region
2.
I only required a player which offered the basics. Proline have
done a good job of fulfilling my needs. Surprisingly, it will replace
an old first generation machine from Toshiba. At the point of purchase
it cost a fortune, the Proline out performs it with a price tag
sub-£30. A bargain.

I have owned this dvd player a few days now. To date I have not
had a single problem with it .It has played everything which i wanted,
except for a version of 'Gotti', a HBO film which I ordered from
California in the USA. I assume it's because this player only supports
region 2 discs. The solution I acquired was to play the disc on
my PC, both realplayer and MS media player would not accept it.
I came across the VideoLan player http://www.videolan.org/
which is free to download. It's one of the few software applications
which will play dvd discs for free. Microsoft etc, will only play
dvd discs if you upgrade your player version which costs above $10.

Just
plugs in and plays discs immediately. Slimline dimensions make it
compact. Nothing fancy, a straight forward piece of kit.
The
player and remote look cheap but cheerful. You may want to place
them out of sight when company arrives ;)
My player has played all Region 2 DVDs out of the box. Picture
and sound quality are more than satisfactory. It's dimensions are
fine, height wise it's low and overall a small unit, ideal a second
living room, den, bedroom and so fourth. When you touch it, enter
and close the tray it does feel flimsy, but what can you expect
for £24.99.
