I have a whole room stacked up with my 15 years of recording on VHS tapes, I have not yet migrated to DVD for recording yet due the cost of the machines. My old VCR which is around 8 years old finally began to malfunction so a few years ago I began looking for a reasonable priced but quality VHS recorder so I could still play my old recordings.

How long I will beable to do this is questionable, because as everyone knows VHS as a media gradually deteriorates so maybe in 20 years I wont beable to play my tapes anymore. I hope this is not the case however. I am still recording however so my vault is always having additions of fresh meat.

I got sold by this machine because it included JVC's B.E.S.T. system which they state improves the quality of recording and playback. I have to commend it on producing good quality picture.

It's been trouble free viewing for the last two years, if this machine is still being sold it worth looking into.
