I was desperate to own a screen larger than 44 inches, which our
current Samsung projection set has. I wanted a better brand so set
my heart on a Sony, there plasma screens at 50 inches were well
outside my price bracket. So the shop assistant recommend a projection
set again, he stated that Sony Bravia system had helped improve
fading and black ratio and with HD Ready could nearly equal plenty
of plasma screens for picture quality. After a test instore I couldn't
help but agree after comparing it with the plasma screens instore.
The only downside is it's quite bulky at the back so you will not
be hanging it on your wall. Do make sure it comes with the stand
however, because if not you maybe charged around £100, luckily
mine came with it included and when the TV was delivered it came
fully assembled on the stand.

It's a nice telly for sure, picture and sound is up there with
the best projection TV's. But it's dated somewhat, I recently changed
my for a plasma set because it's too bulky at the rear. This meant
it was only suited to be positioned in the corner of a room. Viewing
it from the front you would think it was slim all the way round!
not so. After owning a TV with a 50 inch screen size it's difficult
to go back to anything smaller. When upgrading to a plasma this
can be an expensive proposition, but personally I think it's good
investment a quality TV set considering how much time most people
spend infront of it. Myself and my family have enjoyed owning the
KDF50E2010 from Sony, it's now in our den and I'm sure it will give
much pleasure in the future. We also had no technical problems from
it.
