Picture is great, black case colour is classy, menu system has fav list, can be used as a monitor.

Has some outstanding features like 'Freeze Picture' and digital channels have a favourites list which is not available from bskyb. The matt black finish I prefer to the glossy silver case on display in the shop. Scratches do not show up on the black, overall it feels well made, sturdy and a prime example of why Sony has such a good reputation for durability and reliability. It has a HDMI input so is future proof for all the latest DVD gear etc. I decided to upgrade to a DVD HDMI player and I must say the picture clarity/quality produced is simply astonishing. I have not been disappointed with my purchase.

Plenty of scart sockets, HDMI, headphone, audio out port.
Not as good as my m8's 1080p tv.

The minute I got it out of the box I had no doubts about buying this TV. It felt so solidly built to the touch I knew I had not made a mistake buying unseen from the web. The inbuilt freeview receiver is brilliant and automatically tunes the television as soon as you put it in within minutes.

Remote is not tacky like with my old Toshiba set.
Some friends commented the sound is not so good, personally I do not agree but I am biased.

Friends said the sound could benefit from surround sound speakers. I would not describe the styling as gorgeous, but is functionally stylish.

When hooked upto my HD box the standard sky picture is vastly improved.
The menu system is not easy for children to use.

I read many reviews online and in rl publications, so buying a new TV was not a decision I took lightly. Although buying a LCD HD ready TV for around £500 is very cheap for some, for myself it was a considerable purchase for my annual entertainment budget. However the same television was £80 more on the high street, I made the jump to buy online for the first time. The retailer I went with delivery service was excellent. Of all things I would rate this TV as being discretely but beautifully styled, easy to set up and all of the controls on the remote become instinctive within a day. For the pounds paid you can not go wrong. Full marks go to Sony.
