I'm still in awe of the screen size. The Master FHD picture enhancement does a grand job. Pixel resolution is higher than many more expensive models.
The child lock to prevent unwanted tampering is a bia-tch to figure out.

Got the TV around 18 days ago, I am still highly impressed by the picture and sound I receive. It's currently hooked upto my xbox 360, the results are amazing. At only eleven hundred pounds I think it's a great price too. I highly recommend it.

Jaw dropping detail.
Would have liked an additional scart sockets for my wii and 360.

It was so easy to setup - took roughly 20 mins to unpackage it and plug it in. There is also an easy to read booklet with an idiot proof guide. It has an automatic tuning system, so when you plug it in it tuned itself to all the available digital and analogue channels. I now receive my terrestrial stations via a digital Freeview box, in anticipation for the switch over in 2012. I did briefly search google the web for sound recommendations. That was actually more difficult and time consuming than I expected, I ended up at my local newsagents looking for a copy of Which?. This set had a good write up, though it had not won any awards or heaped Caesar like praise apon it. Hitachi have done a good job of making the screen menu simple to use and understand, the wife can even understand it :). Once the TV is out of the box and plugged in you will be watching a picture in a matter of minutes. Speaking personally I was gobsmacked by the shear size of the screen, and the amount of detail, colour, and definition it generated. ,The sound is above par as well. Once the television has settled down after a few weeks you will start to notice that the picture quality will also improve by 10-20% by my estimation. So do not be disappointed with your purchase if the picture quality isn't 100% on day one. It has three scart sockets round the back, all most people will need, but I could have done with four in all honesty. I advise to get the best quality cables and interconnects you can afford. If you want a great picture then the interconnectors especially can make or break whether a television is capable of fulfilling it's potential. At the moment I cannot wait to get a SKY HD box and a DVD player with a HDMI output. These again will enable you to fully realize the full potential of this TV. The set itself also has that feel of quality and is aesthetically pleasing. You won't go far wrong here.
