The dual band feature was the main reason I picked the PG-01, it
was a Christmas present and because we live in a hilly part of the
country I wasn't sure if we could receive digital transmissions.
I soon found we could, but the signal does occasionally become unreliable
with poor whether conditions from time to time. Therefore I switch
to FM which still manages to pick up a faint signal.
I have always been more of a radio listener than a tv viewer, I
am retired but still work from home with an eBay business so I have
the radio to keep me company in my makeshift office. Anyone with
a passing knowledge of radios will soon find the Intempo easy to
function, the presets and tuning buttons are clearly labeled and
simple to operate. All you need to do is plug the Intempo into the
mains socket and it will immediately scan your area for all available
stations, it immediately found 26 different stations. And remember
I live in a rural area with a history of poor tv and radio reception.
Aesthetically the looks are not exactly appealing to me, they
remind me of the Evoke model from Pure which I considered buying
at the same time. I would describe the looks as pleasant, but I've
never been a fan of pine styled light coloured wood or fake brushed
aluminum.
Plenty of features, well built, dual band, you can't go wrong with
the PG-01 from Intempo.
