Ease
of operation, no other company comes close to the software usability.
Expensive
for the feature list.
Since the iPod was launched CD's are but a dead technology to me,
I can hook my iPod upto my car stereo and home midi hifi. My only
concern is accidentally deleting my songlist or the hard disk going
bye bye. I backup regular and I am so glad CD's no longer clutter
up my home.

Looks
cool, any other mp3 player makes u look a saddo cheap skate.
Bulky,
doesn't fit into my pockets easily, the headphones need replacing
cause they are crap.
Make sure you buy the 60GB model, that's if your serious about
putting your whole CD collection on your iPod. You need all the
space you can get.

It's
apple, that's all you need to know.
Yep
if you have heard the complaints they are correct, it scratches
easy when your porting it here and there.
I have a 300+ CD collection and the storage capacity easily held
every song with plenty left to spare. I love using it, love the
looks and feel. I do not like the flimsy case and screen (they scratch
all too easy), the battery life is poor and discharging in days
after a full recharge. Then longterm when your battery is bust you
have the task of replacing it, I've heard this can be a nightmare
and expensive. The headphones looks cool, but you are liable to
get mugged with the famous white paint job, they aren't very good
either. Best to buy yourself a quality pair of black headphones.
One tip is to buy a protective cover, they look naff however, totally
ruin the image. Apple are always updating their model range, so
another download is your device will be old and dated very fast.
However I still love my iPod, it has a few drawbacks but they are
minor.
