Good
performance and value, produces a clear picture if the tape if good.
Doesn't
include Videoplus capability. The timer needs to be set the old
fashioned manual way.
If you have a large video collection you wish to watch in the future
it's a good time to plan for the future. I bought my spare vhs recorder
from Philips for the day my old machine goes kaput. The appearance
of the device is acceptable, but the ergonomics of the remote control
are poor. If you have large fingers you will find the small buttons
hard to operate without pushing a bunch simultaneously.

not
much - it manages to play a tape
buttons
on the remote too small - no videoplus
I still have a large vhs collection which I have no intention of
putting in the bin or giving to a charity shop. My old AIWA recorder
malfunctioned and chewed up a tape - therefore it was time for a
new machine. I was mildly shocked by the lack of selection at high
street retailers - I visited Dixons and Currys and the sales assistants
informed me they hadn't stocked any for a few years. The last resort
seemed the web and eBay. I was after a machine with videoplus primarily
- finding a poor selection I ended up picking this offering from
Philips as it included something called a 'Turbo Timer'. Woeful
is the only word fitting for this recording system. It's also difficult
to connect your camcorder to it and I haven't been able to set it
up to record programmes from Sky. Overall a huge disappointment.

Nothing!
Impossible
to setup. The manual instructions for connecting it to a satellite
receiver are non-existent.
The instruction manual may as well be set a light - you will no
friend here - an enemy only interested in confusing, befuddling
your mind and slowly raising your blood to a life threatening level.
I never expected such a dross machine from Philips. For shame!
